BHA Series
The BHA Series Rack and Pinion Pneumatic Actuator is a high-performance industrial driving device engineered by Yangzhou Hengchun Electronics Co., Ltd., a leading China manufacturer of valve actuators. This actuator leverages compressed air to drive double pistons for linear motion, with the precision rack integrated on the pistons meshing with the output shaft gear to efficiently convert linear motion into accurate rotary (angular stroke) motion. Classified into double-acting and single-acting types, it is a staple for standardized, high-torque, and high-reliability angular stroke drive, ideally suited for 90°/180° on-off control of valves, air dampers and industrial dampers, even under harsh working conditions. The single-acting variant is specially designed for emergency shut-off working conditions, delivering critical safety performance.

At a standard 0.6MPa (6Bar) air pressure, the actuator delivers output torque/thrust no less than the marked value without permanent deformation. With torque ranging from 12.2N.m to 13024N.m for double-acting models across different specifications, meeting diverse industrial load demands.
It operates stably under an ambient temperature of -40℃ to 70℃ and an air pressure range of 0.4MPa-0.7MPa. Adapting to extreme industrial environments with strict air supply requirements (clean, dry air free of corrosive gas/liquid).
Constructed with high-quality materials, the actuator achieves a service life of ≥50,000 opening-closing cycles under rated load. With no jamming or crawling during low-pressure air input, ensuring long-term continuous operation.

Hengchun adheres to strict quality control for the BHA Series Rack and Pinion Pneumatic Actuator, with all units undergoing a full set of rigorous tests before delivery: No-Load Test (low-pressure air input without jamming), Load Test (torque/thrust meets marked value at 0.6MPa), Strength Test (3-minute pressure holding at 1.5×max operating pressure, no leakage/deformation) and Sealing Test (3-minute pressure holding at 1.1×max operating pressure, no abnormal leakage). The actuator complies with Chinese national standards and the manufacturer’s ISO certification, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance for industrial applications.
The primary use for the rack and pinion pneumatic actuator is driving ball valves and butterfly valves in the oil & gas, power generation, and water treatment industries, the three core sectors Hengchun serves, realizing precise on-off control of fluid pipelines.
It is widely applied to control air dampers in ventilation systems and industrial dampers in heavy manufacturing, with stable angular stroke motion ensuring accurate flow and air volume regulation.
Its robust structural design and wide temperature adaptability make it suitable for outdoor, high-humidity, and low-temperature industrial working conditions, such as offshore oil platforms and outdoor power plants.
The standard operating air supply pressure is 4 to 7 Bar (0.4MPa-0.7MPa), and the actuator can also work with a maximum 8 Bar air pressure for higher torque output (see the official output torque table for details).
