In accordance with the requirements of the "Notice on Printing and Distributing the Work Plan for Implementing Safety Risk Control Measures for Large Oil and Gas Storage Bases" issued by the Office of the Work Safety Committee of the State Council, Yangzhou Hengchun Electronics Co., Ltd. assisted Sinochem Nantong Petrochemical Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd. in completing the retrofitting of 18 emergency shut-off valves at the roots of aboveground atmospheric pressure storage tanks to ensure safe production and enhance the overall safety level of the tank area.
Due to the large number of storage tanks involved in this renovation project and the tight project schedule, Yangzhou Hengchun Company organized technical service personnel to conduct an on-site inspection of the atmospheric storage tank root valves in conjunction with the owner and the design institute. After discussions among various parties, a plan was ultimately formulated to rely on existing manual valves and add an actuator to the existing valve body without the need for hot work. This approach effectively shortened the construction period while meeting the owner's operational requirements and ensuring safe production.

The renovation project commenced in March 2022. During the implementation of the project, due to the impact of COVID-19, technical service personnel were unable to reach the reservoir area. Yangzhou Hengchun Company arranged for technical service personnel to communicate via video calls and track the installation process of the actuators, ensuring the highest level of construction quality and safety progress. After the end of epidemic control, technical service personnel were promptly dispatched to the project site to inspect the installation of valve actuators and promptly address any issues that arose during on-site construction. By the end of June, they successfully assisted the owner in completing the installation and commissioning of the emergency shut-off valve actuators for the tank roots.
